Phatthalung is a farming province on Songkhla Lake — rice and rubber, with freshwater fishing on the lake as a significant occupation. The disputes that arise are land and boundary questions along the lake, agricultural-land inheritance within extended families, farm debt through to enforcement, crop purchase contracts, and administrative cases over use rights in wetland areas.

Lakeside and wetland land routinely has an agency boundary overlapping residents' actual possession, and such cases require the title documents and the official boundary to be read together. We check both before advising on the approach, run the file from our Khon Kaen head office and Bangkok branch, and travel to appear at the Phatthalung Provincial Court.
