Certify and translate documents for use here and abroad

A notary public in Thailand is a Notarial Services Attorney — a lawyer registered with the Lawyers Council of Thailand to certify signatures and documents. Most people need one for paperwork heading abroad: visa applications, university admissions, opening accounts or closing transactions overseas, and powers of attorney signed here to be used in another country. What the attorney certifies is the signing and the document itself, not the truth of what it says. We certify signatures, true copies, translations, oaths and affidavits, powers of attorney, and corporate documents, provide certified translation, and coordinate legalization with the Department of Consular Affairs and the destination embassy so the document works the first time.

Frequently asked questions about Notarial Services & Certified Translation

6 questions answered

A Notarial Services Attorney is registered with the Lawyers Council and can certify documents so they're trusted and usable abroad — different from an ordinary copy certification.
It depends on the destination. Many cases need certified translation plus legalization at Consular Affairs/the embassy. We check exactly how far yours needs to go.
Yes. Our team works in Thai, English, and Chinese — well suited to foreigners and documents bound for overseas use.
Certification that a signature was made in the attorney's presence, that a copy matches its original, that a translation is faithful, that an oath or affidavit was sworn, that a power of attorney was properly executed, and certification of corporate documents. What is certified is the signing and the document — not that the contents are true.
Signature certification requires you to sign in front of the certifying attorney, so you must attend in person with your original ID or passport. Copy certification and certified translation can be reviewed from documents sent ahead, so a single visit is usually enough.
The usual cause is that the destination requires a step beyond attorney certification — legalization at the Department of Consular Affairs and then at the destination country's embassy, which are separate stages. Tell us at the outset which authority and which country the document is for, so the full chain is planned from the first visit.
